We are in Brazil!

We arrived safely in Brazil last Tuesday. We are having a wonderful time with my family and the weather has been perfect so far. If you want to know exactly where we are, look at the map on the left and find Espirito Santo, the State just above Rio de Janeiro located in the same Region as Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais.  Espirito Santo has almost 3.6 million people and the city I am at (Vila Vella) has a about 415 thousand people. The total population of Brazil is approximately 192 million.

The map does not show the Atlantic Ocean, but we are on the coast and we just need to cross one street to reach the beach!

It is Fall here in Brazil, but in Espirito Santo that does not mean orange leaves and cold winds like in Minnesota! Right now the temperature is ranging from  80's to 90's Fahrenheit. We have been going to the beach every day and every body stares at us because we are the whitest people there!

This last weekend we went to a city called Guarapari. We were right by the sea and the kids enjoyed finding fish and seeing mussels growing on the rocks.

My beach kids covered in 50 FPS sunscreen !!

Brazil to us means fun in the sun!
