This is how Brazilians eat (or drink!) their avocado - blended with cold milk, sugar, and little bit of fresh lime juice. This makes a dense and smooth treat that is worth trying.
Avocado Smoothie
makes 1 healthy portion, or 2 small
Ingredients
Here is my VERY list:
1 very ripened avocado
1 cup of very cold milk
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 of a very small lime
Preparation
Using a kitchen blender, blend all the ingredients until smooth. If your smoothie seems too thick, add little more milk and blend more.Taste and adjust sugar, if necessary. Serve immediately.
TIPS:
Only use ripened avocados; make sure that the avocado and the milk are very cold before you blend the smoothie (you may place those 2 ingredients in the freezer for 20 minutes before using them).

Great smoothie. I've tried to replace the sugar with honey but it's just not as good.
ReplyDeleteYes...Unfortunately avocado and sugar are a great marriage! I wonder if agave nectar would be a better choice since it has a lighter taste?
